Thanksgiving Day

I’ve been up and about since six or so. My feet are chilly, even with socks. The sky is the cold blue of November out my window. I’ve finished my first round of coffee. I’ll make another pot in a minute, but first a post to pass along with thanks my reading aloud of a piece I wrote years ago for Athens Word of Mouth, the poetry open mic started by the late Aralee Strange, who knew a bit about how to give the universe a stir. Ukrainian Dancers in Old San Juan

What a delightful surprise I had back in March 2012 when I happened upon a performance by New York’s Syzokryli Ukrainian Dance Ensemble at a street festival in Old San Juan! My candid photograph of a member of the ensemble  apparently expressing some frustration during a practice session before the performance is the latest addition to my collection of travel street photography available to my supporters over at Patreon in the Light and Sound Circle.
